MUNFORD, TN (abc24.com) - He fought for our country and was nearly killed; now one anti-military Facebook page is making a mockery out of Corporal Christian Brown. The page has manipulated a picture of the Munford Marine. The Marine's family is trying to get the image taken down before it hurts the war hero any more.

The Facebook page is filled with anti-military rants. The title alone would make most people cringe: "Soldiers are Murderous Rapists and They Deserve to Die."

On Sunday, Munford Marine Corporal Christian Brown became the latest attack of the anonymous Facebook user. Brown spoke with only abc24.com, "Someone deliberately went on my page and took the pictures off and is trying to destroy my name and the Marine Corps too and everything it's done for me."

Corporal Brown lost both legs and nearly his life in Afghanistan in December 2011. He's still receiving treatment at a military hospital in Maryland. The Purple Heart recipient says the Facebook page is against everything he fought for. "We've reported the page and other people have taken notice as well." Brown continues, "I don't know what to do at this point, I don't know the person, I don't know how I got targeted."

The stolen images were a few of Brown's favorites. The first one is a picture of him in Afghanistan with a huge American flag flying behind him, the Facebook user put offensive writing over the image. The second is the Marine going through rehabilitation learning to walk again. This caption pokes fun of his dedication to the Military. "They can say what they want, but until they've been in my shoes, until they've been in prosthetics and seen the things I've seen, no one can ever understand," Brown says.

Brown's mother says she contacted Facebook and hasn't received a response.

The founder of the Mid-South Wounded Warrior Project Dave Marek says "(Facebook) should take it down." He says this kind of website can impact the healing process. "It makes me angry because it hurts all of them," he says, "all them that have been hurt for us and are still suffering."

The manipulated image is hurtful to Brown, but it's just another battle he'll fight. "I did it for America," Brown continues, "and I did it for everyone I love and all my friends and the people I fought beside and they can't take that away from me."

A Facebook spokesperson told abc24.com "Unfortunately, we don't comment on specific individuals' accounts, so we can't provide any details on the record about this case."

lol. Really? After my little diatribe you're going to come at me with pure ad-hominem too? Way to prove my point. Do you see why I can so easily make the sweeping generalization that you people are simply mindless murderous morons that lack any ability to think critically or speak accurately? "anyone who has been in the position to have to take anothers life knows its not a decision taken lightly" hahaha, yeah that one made me smirk. Apparently you missed out on the Collateral Murder video leaked by wikileaks, and the home-made video of the 4 marines urinating on dead bodies, or the marine throwing a puppy off a cliff, the video of marines taking turns posing smiling holding up a young mans face to the camera as he bleeds out from an abdomen shot. They all seemed to be taking murder rather lightly. I've got hundreds more examples. Sounds like you should visit my page, you sound blissfully ignorant of a lot of happenings in the military. But hey, you could always just go and ask a few of your female colleagues, 1 in 3 of them has been raped by their male counterparts. Spare me your "occasional real mistakes" crap, you're little better than monkeys with firearms.

Dear anonymous hater I just wanted to let you know that despite your idiocy, your lack of knowledge of anything related to the military life. Your skewed views and slander. I still defend your very right to breath. And I along with my brothers and sisters in arms will do the same, tomorrow, and the next day and continue till god calls us from this world. I will not judge beyond the fact that I'm ashamed to be the same species as you. Ill let god do his job. Oh and just so you know, you may think were all killers, but anyone who has been in the position to have to take anothers life knows its not a decision taken lightly, and while you sit at home deciding whether to eat burger king or mcdonalds, and which porn sight to fap to some of us are out making real decisions with real consequences, and occassionally real mistakes. Enjoy your carpel tunel and lonely life Sincerely One of the many people who protect your mistake of a life

I stand behind my convictions, and I know better than to identify myself to a crowd of 2nd-ammendment gun worshipping professional murderers. But you already know this. Your argument (and I use the word loosely) is 100% pure, unadulterated ad-hominem; which I've come to expect from those who attempt to defend the indefensible. Not only that, but you apparently have some kind of respect for a cult of deranged religious fundamentalists who believe that god has a personal hatred for soldiers because they provide a theoretical defensive capacity for homosexuals; based on the fact that these cultists show their faces. Interesting, to say the least; although "bewilderingly moronic" would be closer to the truth. You should have stayed in school son. If you had, you would at least know when you're completely out of your league. I can only infer that you're "Ugly Bob" because of a severe craniofacial injury you received as a result of being dropped on your head at birth or perhaps being beaten about the head with a claw hammer? 0/10

No, you're not a coward for making a facebook page, you're a coward because you dont stand behind your convictions. You slander others, claim to have this "moral high ground", and spew this psycho babble rhetoric about every single person in the military walking around with an itchy trigger finger waiting to cap off children, yet hide BEHIND the facebook page and the name anonymous. (which, btw, give us some hint how to find this page, I'd love to see more of your insane "logic") You know who else takes a controversial stand? The people of Westboro...yet they are willing to stand behind their convictions. Everyone in the nation hates their view, yet they proudly show their faces. You hide behind a moniker and a some shock value pictures. So yes. Coward. In the classic sense of the word. Ill check back to see if you lead me to your page, but I'm not going to respond again. You clearly revealed your complete disconnection with the world when you said the words "moral highground."

I'm a coward? For making a facebook page? Oh, I'm fairly sure what truly qualifies as a "coward" is sitting a mile in the sky watching little white dots on a video screen, flipping a coin over whether or not they are terrorists, and then pressing a button to end a dozen lives regardless of whether or not they are women, children or elderly. I guess the same could be said for wearing a bullet-proof vest & unloading a fully automatic weapon into a poppy field against a person dressed in rags and then calling in an airstrike just to make sure you get all the nearby civilians too. Oh, but that's not murder is it? It's "collateral damage", or as I like to call it, "collateral cowardice". I'd rather you label me a coward, than to be in somebody elses country murdering people I've never met for a paycheck in an illegal war. Moral highground: ALL MINE.

You're still a coward. You have no problem shaming other people, yet you hide behind a name and a facebook page. I'd call you a pansy again, but thats an insult to pansies. Scared little boy.

Sup guys! Just letting you know my new page is now up, containing the same picture of Cpl. Brown, plus a couple more that I made over the weekend featuring other paid murderers for enforcement of totalitarian US foreign policy. Freedom of speech works both ways! Not just in the favor of murderers. Your efforts are fruitless, you are obviously quite new to the internet and freedom of information.

@Anonymous You have no idea of the damage you have done to all the BRAVE Men and Women of OUR Military who are the MAIN reason we are STILL a FREE Nation. You think its cute that you can be protected by the Morons of Facebook who won't take your site down. Fine, but the damage you inflict to these BRAVE men and women is senseless. I had to deal with people JUST LIKE YOU when my Uncle was Killed in Vietnam and my brother came back worn and wounded from two tours there, yet a proud soldier only to get Eggs and worse thrown at him by self-indulgent people like you. Do you honestly believe this nation would be Free if no Military existed? Really? Do you really believe all of our men and women are going out there to intentionally hurt innocents? Really? Yes, there are accidents, there are some rouge idiots that pass through the gates, but 99% are good men and women laying their life down for their country, THIS COUNTRY each and every day. They do it for our Freedom, not the politics. We can't control Washington, but we can control our own selves and our honor. I only wish I was half the man Brown and the others you and your pimple-ridden friends have victimized. You truly are a pathetic individual that if crap hit the fan would be running and screaming for someone to protect you. Good Luck with that.

Its UGLYbob. And funny, in your past posts, you use liberal and democrat interchangeably, yet you get offended if someone uses republican and conservative that way? How odd. I do apologize for calling you a moron though, that was childish and uncalled for. However, I do stand by my comments about your summations about democrats and liberals. If you read back through your own posts, you seem perfectly fine blaming everything on them in EVERY SINGLE ONE of your posts. And that is the hypocrisy I’m attempting to point out. There are problems on both sides, but instead, people tend to view their own side as perfect, or at least ignore their sides flaws, and blame everything on the opposing side. Both sides are to blame for the state of our city and nation. You can point your finger all you want, but that does nothing but drive a wedge between civilians that need to be working together. A while my comments against Anonymous are unsympathetic, I find his logic flawed and one-sided. While there is a sad reality in the things he says, they are a minimal part of the military as a whole, and not the choice of a lowly enlisted man but those of Bush, Obama, and their military commanders. If he truly wants people on his side, creating memes and defacing Browns service is the wrong way. I view him as a coward. And while I probably wouldn’t lift a finger to help his cause, if he stood behind his convictions instead of hiding like a sissy and attacking someone who chose only to serve (but had little control in what way), I might at least find a shred of respect for him.
