Mayor Wharton, please do not say ignorant quotes to the press media. It does not do anything but degrade your image. Action speaks louder than words Mayor Wharton. hint hint. Do something besides yapping about it.

Mayor Wharton ,,,,Homicides a wake up call. Where has mayor Wharton been? The moon. Memphis is the wild west when it comes to these kinds of killings. And hes the Mayor of it and hes just now getting a wake up call. How pathetic.

I already got my wake-up call many years ago. If prominent black elected officials like AC Wharton won't speak out against the lack of good family upbringing in the (largely black) underclass in Memphis and other places, won't rail against the huse (70%) illegitimacy rate in the black (and increasingly Hispanic and white) ethnic groups, and won't demand the Congress and state legislatures to drastically reform the counterproductive and widely abused welfare programs that subsidize the production of poorly socialized human beings, then we ALL are doomed.
