So the Mayor is willing to give the city employees their money back if they give him some more money...... wow what a nice gift. Sounds like cousin eddie on christmas vacation, "if you dont mind get yourself something real nice from me clark". The city admin wants the public to believe they are helping city employess and the whole while they are cutting polic and fire benefits (i.e. pay the whole time. I want the best paramedic I can get coming to my house when I have a heart attack, want the best cops coming to catch the guy breaking into my home. Not the guy mcdonalds fired because he wouldnt come to work on time. Quit cutting fire and police! Heck, they need a raise! They want to give them a little money back and take even more with the other hand! City magicians.

All American cities and states need to convert their employees to Social Security as pensions and Medicare as retirement health, with government employers just acting as volume health insurance buyers for employees who want to pay 100% of the premiums, based on spousal and number of children coverage if desired.
