MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The Medical Examiner who examined the body of 44-year-old Tina Caronna described the condition the body was in during day two of her husband's murder trial. Sean Lester told the courtroom, "The head of the female as well as the shoulders covered by a towel." He added, "the left and right hands are together, the left over right, it is a folded over length of duct tape."

Lester continued, "The decedent's head the chin was to the chest, the tape was not covering the mouth but at the chin and the other was stuck to the blouse the decedent was wearing. The head was down toward the chest, her nose was very near her left breast."

Tina Caronna's body was found in Bartlett on Brannick Drive near Summer and Elmore. Joe Caronna's friend, Gary Hathaway, said when he heard where Tina's body was found, "that immediately hit me like a rock." It hit Hathaway like a rock because the body was found near a storage unit where Joe Caronna keeps his classic cars.

"The body is found two blocks from where he had to go to pick up the vehicle," he said. At that point Hathaway told the courtroom he came to the conclusion, "My best buddy may have been involved in this."
