MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police have released the names of the officers involved in the shooting death of a robbery suspect at a Frayser area McDonald's last week.

The robbery occurred at the McDonald's on the 2000-block of Frayser Blvd around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 27. When officers arrived on the scene, two armed suspects were seen running from the business into a nearby wooded area. One suspect, 32-year-old Charles Livingston, turned towards the officers with his gun and both officers shot Livingston, killing him. The second suspect kept running and remains at large.

Two more suspects in a getaway car fled before officers arrived. Both were later arrested; 23-year-old Gentry Humes is charged with two counts each of Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Assault, 37-year-old Arkishia Thorne is charged with Aggravated Robbery.

The officers involved, 25-year-old Andrew Hammond and 23-year-old Aron Giannini, have been relieved of duty with pay pending the outcome of the investigation. Both have been with the Memphis Police Department since October 2010.

Investigators say Humes and Thorne may also be linked to other business robberies; additional charges are still pending.
