OLIVE BRANCH, MS (abc24.com) - An Olive Branch utility department worker is accused of stealing big bucks from the city.
Anita Cowan, 45, is charged with embezzlement. Investigators aren't saying exactly how much she stole, but say it was more than $500.
Cowan is out of jail on a $5,000 bond. She's scheduled to face a judge next week.
This isn't the first time an Olive Branch city worker has been arrested for embezzlement.
In 2007, Olive Branch Police Department employee Michelle Comans and municipal court clerk Jennifer Carson were charged with embezzling money. Both resigned from their positions.
