MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Two suspects are on the run after firing a gun in an east Memphis parking lot and running off with a woman's purse Wednesday morning.

Memphis police were called to the 800-block of Mt. Moriah Road at Carnes Avenue around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20. Officers stated that a male suspect had robbed a 64-year-old woman of her purse while in the parking lot. The victim told police she was going to see a doctor when the suspect came up behind her and put a gun to her back, demanding her purse.

One shot was fired in the robbery, but no one was injured. The suspect got in a waiting vehicle and the two suspects drove off before police arrived.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's last seen wearing dark clothing. The second suspect was driving a white 4-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry or a Honda Civic.
