I'd rather have an armed teacher than a cop in my child's school ANY DAY.

Homeschooled children don't have to worry about such things, & are better educated, by a WIDE margin.

INstead of an unfunded mandate, a better option would be to provide every school in the state the funds to have a school resource officer from law enforcement in that school. But Nicely is an idiot, so he's just going to "require" that every school arm a teacher. What if no teachers in a particular school WANT to be armed? The TN GOP is a freaking joke. Don't complain about the federal government's unfunded mandates if you're going to require local school systems to have them as well. Morons.
