MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man was arrested on Friday, October 7, 2011, around 9:15 p.m. after a police officer working the area around Raleigh Egypt High School at 3990 Volitaire pulled over the car in which he was riding.

An affidavit says 20-year-old Kevin Montague and 3 juveniles were arrested shortly after shots were fired in the immediate area of the school. Police found seven shell casings near the baseball field after the shots were fired after a Raleigh-Egypt football game.

Police say they also found 2 guns and a pair of brass knuckles in the car carrying Montague and the minors.

Montague has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.  The 3 minors were all taken to juvenile court.

I think society, parents, and schools are equally to blame. It starts in school and society in general, like one sports team fighting against another. The old us-against-them mentality. Fostering that type of behavior will continue to adulthood. By encouraging constant competition between individuals instead of caring and sense of community, this is what we end up with. Small factions who think it's cool to cause harm to other people and living beings. Selfish, uncaring youth out looking for something to be a part of. If we really want to do something about the violence and criminal behavior. Rather than teaching and encouraging materialism and that selfish us-against-them type of thinking, how about we encourage the view that we are all in this together. And scrap the fierce competition mentality.

The “man-boy” needs to be charged with endangering minors also!! Put the man-boy in jail and fine the parents of the minors but only after they have to do 500 hours of community services!!!! They want to act like men, punish them like men!!

This "man" looks like a terrified child. Teenagers shooting guns at other teenagers. . .such a very depressing display of ignorance. This is what happens when children grow up without caring/loving parents in their lives. Just another chapter in the tragic, ongoing story of Memphis culture.
