HAYWOOD COUNTY, NC (abc24.com) - A trailer thief drove off with almost $1 million worth of Xbox 360 video game consoles when a trailer was stolen from a truck stop on I-40 sometime between Saturday, November 12, 2011 and Sunday the 13th.

The Haywood County Sheriff tells abc24.com that the truck driver stopped at the Exit 47 Plaza truck stop about a mile from his home that Saturday to drop off the trailer. When he returned to the truck stop on Sunday, the trailer was gone - and so were the 2,475 Xbox 360 consoles inside it.

Authorities say the video game systems are worth $990,000 and the trailer around $15,000. They say the truck stop is very busy, so they are pessimistic about finding a witness as there is nothing suspicious about a trailer leaving the location.

Man, I bet the driver could be in on the theft. The 50 r probably watching him or her closely. He or she made a bad decision to leave that trailer from of xbox 360 consoles. There is a possibility that the trucker might end up being prosecuted.

Anyone know where I can get one of these boxes? I am sure they will be going for 150 to 200 at the local barber shop. Sorry I must add this " ONLY IN THE BLACK PART OF TOWN". I don't want you to think you can just go anywhere.

microsoft, and their warehouse managers, don't want their xbox'z dropped at ANY location... PERIOD... i used to be a local driver for TransCarriers in Memphis... i picked up a trlr-load of xbox'z, and the whse-mngr <<^FLIPPED OUT^>> when i told him that i was taking the trailer around the corner to our ((+/-secure)) yard, to drop it... this driver'z job isn't worth $1,000,000... consider him (probably) FIRED!!!
