WALNUT, Miss. (AP, abc24.com) - The Mississippi Highway Patrol says three people were killed in a two-vehicle accident at the Tippah-Alcorn county line in north Mississippi.

Randle Walker, 31, of Decatur, Ala., was headed west on U.S. Highway 72 in a tractor-trailer when a pickup rear-ended the trailer about 5:15 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011.

Walker received minor injuries. But three of the four people in the pickup were killed.

Authorities identified the victims as Arnoldo Moreno, 29, of Corinth, Juan A. Estrada, 35, of Nashville, and Jose P. Garcia-Guillen, 35, of Decatur, Ala. A fourth person, Raul Cabrera, 35, also of Decatur, was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis with serious injuries.

Authorities say Moreno and Estrada wore seatbelts; Garcia-Guillen and Cabrera were unbuckled.

The accident remains under investigation.
