MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Memphis man will be sentenced next month after a jury found him guilty, again, of allowing a 14-year-old girl to be videotaped having sex with an adult man inside a Department of Human Services van.
The incident happened more than seven years ago when Charles Sharp, 39, was employed with DHS transporting teens that were wards of the state to their homes.
Sharp's first trial on charges of rape, sexual battery, and sexual exploitation of a minor was held in 2006. It ended in a mistrial.
A jury convicted him in 2008, but that conviction was overturned and a new trial ordered.
This time a jury found Sharp guilty of one count of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. He faces up to 30 behind bars with no possibility of parole.
