HOLLY SPRINGS, MS (abc24.com) - The fourth suspect wanted for the vicious attack on a Marshall County teen in April has been apprehended in Chicago, Illinois.
Xavier Cornelius Parks was taken into custody by FBI agents on Tuesday, June 26. Authorities have been searching for Parks since he was charged on May 18 for the kidnapping and aggravated assault of 18-year-old Charles Hardeman on April 11.
Investigator says he orchestrated the plan to kidnap and rob Hardeman of $500 with Charles' sister, Ashley Hardeman, and two other suspects, Kevin Schrock and Gregory Jenkins. Parks is also a well known member of the Vice Lord gang.
The four are accused of tying up the teen, throwing him in a lake to drown and setting his house on fire. Charles escaped but suffered a stroke and crashed into a tree driving for help. He was placed on life support fro several days, but has since been released from the hospital and continues to recover at home.
