MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A 16-year-old boy is among four suspects that have been arrested and charged in the rapes and robberies of three women on Sunday, October 16, 2011, around 3:00 a.m. in the 3000 block of Mt. Moriah Trials.
Memphis police say five suspects robbed and sexually assaulted three women between 28 and 31 years old. The suspects are a 16-year-old boy, 21-year-old Antonio Howard, 23-year-old Devan Denton and 24-year-old Brian Norwood. The fifth suspect, Lee Denton, surrendered to authorities on Friday, October 21, 2011, around 10:30 a.m.
Denton told authorities that he was tired of running but that he did nothing wrong.
During the robbery, one of the victims was beaten with a handgun and she received severe injuries and had to receive medical treatment. Another victim was repeatedly sexually assaulted.
The five suspects in custody have all been charged with 3 counts of aggravated rape, 3 counts of especially aggravated robbery and 2 counts of aggravated robbery.
The 4 adult suspects are all being held on a $1 million bond.
