JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - About 20 people have marched through the northeast Arkansas city where a 21-year-old man was fatally shot while his hands were cuffed behind him in a patrol car.
The march Tuesday in Jonesboro comes the day after police there released an autopsy that listed Chavis Carter's shooting death as a suicide.
The report also said Carter had methamphetamine and other drugs in his system when he shot himself in the right temple.
Carter's family says he was left-handed and questioned how that was possible.
People marching through Jonesboro Tuesday echoed similar disbelief on signs. They marched from the spot where Carter was fatally shot July 28 to the building where the city council meets.
Police say Carter was searched twice, but officers didn't find a gun until after the shooting.
