In honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, The Arc Mid-South held its 13th annual Wheelchair Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 2nd at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse at the University of Memphis.

The Rollin' Grizzlies, a Memphis based wheelchair basketball team, helps coordinate the yearly competition by providing wheelchairs to corporate teams that pay an entry fee to participate.

Teams from companies like Sam's Club and Hershey's joined in on the fun this year. All of the money raised through entry fees and sponsorship goes to support The Arc Mid-South, which advocates for the rights of those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Organizers say it's a chance to focus on abilities, and not disabilities.
