With such a high proportion of the population of the USA being obese, all of the ambulance units should have a higher weight capacity, just to cover their tails from a lawsuit if they drop and injure a patient. From what I've seen, there should be a re-design of the ambulance/stretcher setup, since one of the problems is dead-lifting the stretcher up into the ambulance--maybe a ramp to roll the patient up into the ambulance? Just sayin'.
