MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Developers looking to revitalize Overton Square in midtown Memphis announced Tuesday that the restaurant and bar chain Bar Louie will open at the start of 2013.
The Chicago-based company currently has 36 corporate and 10 franchise locations, and will situate its Memphis location in the iconic curved building at the southwest corner of Madison Avenue and Cooper Street.
Loeb Properties, which is investing $20 million to revive Overton Square as an arts and entertainment district, stated in a July 17 press release that construction on Bar Louie is set to begin in August with a target opening date of January 1, 2013.
Bar Louie will sit across the street from
another new Overton Square addition, Local Gastropub.
