Bartlett citizens held a town hall meeting to discuss the feasibility of starting their own school district.
Residents filled the pews at the Bartlett Municipal Center to hear what it will take to start their own school system.
"It is feasible for Bartlett to have a school system," Said Bartlett's Chief Administrative Officer, Mark Brown, who had Bartlett residents feeling confident they'll get their own school system.
Bartlett resident Alan Higdon told abc24.com he's "very excited about Bartlett having its own school system."
Eddie Settles said parents should have a choice on what's best for their kids. Settles said, "The problem is school systems don't give parents real say."
Portia Tate is the Principal at Rivercrest Elementary in Bartlett. She's neither for or against Bartlett having its own school system but she is for freedom of choice. "Everyone should have the opportunity to do whatever they wish," she said.
