SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Bedford County officials say the body of a Manchester man has been found almost two weeks after he was last seen alive.
A sheriff's official quoted by the Shelbyville Times-Gazette said the body of 59-year-old Jimmy Olmstead was found Sunday afternoon by a man scouting places to hunt deer.
The remains were about 500 yards from a pond where Olmstead had been fishing.
Sheriff's Capt. Tony Barrett said the death is being treated as a homicide. Barrett said Olmstead's wallet was intact.
An autopsy was to be conducted Monday.
