MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A statue was stolen from outside the Memphis Child Advocacy Center over the holiday weekend.
The life-sized bronze statue of the little girl is part of a larger sculpture that includes a boy sitting atop an oversized turtle, and was in front of the main entrance to the center, located at 1085 Poplar Avenue.
The Child Advocacy Center received the Bill Bond sculpture, named 'Happy Travelers', as a gift for the center's 10-year anniversary in 2002. The center offers therapy for traumatized children and families, and serves as headquarters for the Child Protection Investigation Team.
