Southaven, MS (abc24.com)-- With winter weather on the way, and Valentine's Day on Tuesday, Cupid's helpers are watching the forecast closely.
"That's what we are hearing, keep your fingers crossed," said Chet Koch, owner of Edible Arrangements in Southaven, MS.
Edible Arrangements has more than 600 orders set to go out the next two days, so workers were bustling Sunday evening to make all those tasty fruit boutiques.
"This is our Christmas time," Koch said.
The storm is set to hit Monday afternoon, right when workers at Edible Arrangements are ramping up.
Koch said, "We like the cool weather because it makes it easier to make the deliveries with the cool. As far as it getting slippery we are hoping it will avoid us."
"I just love doing it, it is not all I do, I just love creating things," said Valerie Stevenson.
For the last 3 years, Stevenson has made custom-made gift baskets and some them on a corner along Poplar Avenue.
Ann Marie Allen of Southaven is also preparing for a long, cold, two days.
"It is a lot of fun. Lot of fun, I really do like it," Allen said.
Allen also sells homemade gift baskets, and says she sees a lot of business in the days leading up to Valentine's Day.
"A lot of guys, wait until they get off that 3rd shift at 11 o'clock Tuesday night, that's a real big hit on Tuesday night," she said.
