MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A 6-year-old boy was killed at Oakshire Elementary School in Memphis after he ws hit by a daycare bus on November 21, 2011.
Anthony Scott, Jr. was walking through the school's parking lot when he was hit by the bus, which is owned by Pee Wee Wisdom Learning Center. Memphis Police stated that 12 passengers were on board at the time of the accident.
Scott was taken to LeBonheur Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The 67-year old driver of the bus remained on the scene. So far no charges have been filed.
The Memphis City Schools Foundation announced that a memorial fund has been created in Anthony Scott's name to assist the family with arrangements during this difficult time. Donations to the Anthony Scott, Jr. Memorial Fund can be made at any First Tennessee Bank location.
