City of Memphis Takes Control of Beale Street

The City of Memphis is taking control of the Beale Street entertainment district. A judge ruled Tuesday the company that has run Beale for 30 years, Performa Entertainment, can walk away from the deal.

This will be the end of Beale Street. It will get run into the ground like everything else the city has taken over and will be boarded up eventually. So much for the Memphis Music Scene!
