MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The hunt continued Wednesday night for one of two men accused of gunning down a 16-year-old girl on Christmas Day.
Derica Patterson, 16, was killed and three others were shot Sunday morning near the Slayden Travel Center on U.S. 72.
Corey Albright, 31, was arrested on Tuesday night and charged in Patterson's death. With Fleming still on the run, residents in Moscow, TN, near where Fleming lives, said they're on edge.
"Well, every now and then he would get into a little something," said Raymond Sanders, who until recently lived across the street from Fleming.
"It is a bad situation man, I sure hate it for him, it is bad," he said.
Fleming has been in trouble with the law before.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, Fleming is wanted on a probation violation from a May 2010 shooting. Fleming, aka Rico Poole, shot a man that came over to his house to inquire about purchasing a car. The sheriff's department says Fleming also has warrants related to an incident near Rossville, TN, in November 2009 where a man was shot at, but not hit.
"It is just a matter of time, he will get caught, justice will prevail," said John King, who works at the Moscow Quick Stop, not far from Fleming's home.
