MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Bartlett man convicted of killing his wife is now guilty of fraud and embezzlement.

Joe Caronna pleaded guilty to four of 57 counts Tuesday in federal court.

Investigators say while Caronna was an insurance agent, he forged client signatures and withdrew more than $800,000 from their accounts. He then used the money to purchase several vehicles - including two Corvettes and two Porsches - which he agreed to forfeit as part of his guilty plea.

He pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud, two counts insurance fraud and embezzlement, and one count of money laundering.

Caronna is serving a life sentence for killing his wife Tina. Her body was found stuffed in the backseat of their truck in October 2008.

Prosecutors say he murdered her to cover up his cheating and stealing.
