it was despictable what he did, the crime. but somebody that young, immature, facing his prospects, really doesn't know how to react. he's responsible. what aggrivates me is that kids spend 13 years of their life in school, and few care about them enough, to tell them verbatum, the difference between right and wrong. what a waste in that sense.

Not sure who the people are that are allegedly suggesting Prindle be sent to Boys Town in Nebraska, but that would be the last place I would recommend sending anyone. Boys Town Nebraska probably started out with good intentions, but throughout the 1970s - 1980s, it was the place that a few wealthy pedophiles forced some of the boys into prostitution, there were a few suicides, suspicious deaths - very interesting to read about - even involved some Wash, DC, men. Wasn't this the case where Prindle was babysitting and some shady people he knew stopped by, diverted him from his apartment for a while but a couple of the shady ones remained in Prindle's apt? Seems like the case was handled questionably from the onset. It is not justice if the actual criminal remains free and someone is wrongfully jailed - just good to double-check and make sure the case is solid.

This station is misconstruing and/or misreporting the facts of this case. James Prindle did not receive a fair trial and received an inadequate defense. The Redemption Project, a national youth justice advocacy organization, hired attorney Michael Scholl to represent James to replace Claiborne Ferguson, who flipped on his own client. An informant has come forward to the Redemption Project, and is presenting new evidence which proves that James is ABSOLUTELY INNOCENT. The full true facts of this case can be found at http://wandervogeldiary.wordpress.com/.

Judges recieving letters from outsiders should be banned, no judge should be pursuaded by the public to be harsh or easy on an offender of any sort! Justice must be served, time in a rehailitation center, such as Boys Town or Youth Villages, may do some good, but I feel like he still needs to do some time in a cell!! Compassion? Someone really asked where the compassion is for this kid? He is old enough to know better, and where was his compassion for this 2 year old when he was doing the assulting?!?!

Pretty, blonde, blue eyes.... Yeah he won't be laughing when his cell mate Tyrone sees him... Tyrone doesn't take "no" for an answer.

Where is the compassion for this mis-guided youth? Better to send him to Boy's Town to be rehabilitated than spending his life in prison, at 16 years old there should be ample opportunity to save this boy.....

so by them sending these letters is saying it is ok what he did and it should be looked passed. lock him up to the fullest extent of the law because he will do it again and by him laughing in court is very disrespectful and shows no remorse. lock his a** up
