Anger and frustration resonated at a public meeting about the recent Cordova annexation.

Memphis - the Detroit of the South. Run off the taxpayers, let the criminals take over the streets, as they have the offices of government. Then in a few years, as is happening in Old Detroit, hundreds of acres of derelict housing and small commercial buildings will be cleared back to empty ground. Isn't progressive politics wonderful. Memphis is a pustule on the butt of Tennessee.

I remember a similar fervor over the annexation of Raleigh Bartlett Meadows. Long since forgotten now.

For the first time in the 3 years I have lived in teh newly annexed are, Isaw a MPD car in the area this week. Yet teh City claims we have had those services since Jan 1. Right! I wonder what kind of problem I will encounter at the early voting booth??????

People parking themselves just outside the Memphis city limits to avoid one level of taxation could not reasonably expect that situation to last forever. Jackie, "City Council Attorney Allan" should have gone before the first "Wade".
