What good is a sales tax increase? Shelby county and Memphis will never see the money they are projecting. Shelby County is bordered by Arkansas and Mississippi, both of which have lower sales tax rates. The only thing that will happen is it will drive more folks to shop over the state lines and improve revenue in those cities. The only way they can assure that schools are funded is by taxing the property of the citizens that live in Shelby county and the City of Memphis. Sorry to say that, but fact is fact

If you can't live within your means and you want more money to not live within your means? LOL. How stupid do you think I am? Don't answer that question. Privatise is the answer. Let someone else do the job and lower the taxes. Maybe more taxpayers might decide to stay in the city and county?
