MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The owners of Club Crave asked a Shelby County judge to reopen the business at a Friday hearing.
The plan for the court appearance, which was supposed to be routine, was to set a trial date for the owners of Club Crave and 380 Beale. After meeting for more than an hour without progress, the attorneys and the judge finally had to abort.
The District Attorney's office shut down Crave last week after a deadly Christmas Eve shooting.
Robert Wampler, the lawyer for the man who owns 380 Beale, and city attorneys couldn't agree on a date for a hearing regarding the nuisance complaint Shelby County and the City of Memphis have against the property and its current occupant, Club Crave.
They finally agreed to meet Monday morning in Judge Larry Potter's chambers to set a date for the hearing.
In the meantime, the club remains closed.
