MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police say they have the suspect in 5 different burglaries in custody after a car wreck on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.
Police tell abc24.com that 30-year-old Danyell Miller was arrested after leading police on a chase that ended with him crashing into another car at Poplar and East Parkway. A total of 4 cars were involved in the crash and two people were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
Police have been looking for Miller since July 2, 2011, when they say he robbed a business of more than $9,000 worth of property. On July 7, they say Miller stole more than $5,000 worth of property from El Toro Loco Mexican Bar and Grill.
A rental car that was stolen on October 2 had Miller's fingerprints on it and an arrest warrant for him was issued.
On October 30, Miller allegedly stole a purse from a 60-year-old woman who was putting air in the tires of her car. Later that day, Miller broke into a car and vandalized another on Covington Pike.
Miller is being charged with 6 counts of burglary, 4 counts of theft of property, 1 count of criminal attempted burglary and 2 counts of burglary of an auto.
Police say additional charges are pending.
