CrimeStoppers Tip Leads to Burglary Arrest

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police arrested a suspect for a Christmas Eve home burglary thanks to a tip made to CrimeStoppers.

Officers were called to the 4400-block of Charleswood around 2:15 p.m. on Monday, December 24. The homeowner told police he was notified his home alarm was activated and came home to find his house and storage shed had been burglarized.

Images of the burglary suspect were captured on video surveillance and released to the public. After following up on a CrimeStoppers tip, police identified 58-year-old Phillip Folis as the suspect.

Phillip Folis was later arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary, Burglary, Theft of Property and Vandalism.
