DeSoto County School District to Teach Abstinence-Only

Leave the sex education at home, whether it happens or not. Of course, if there were a voucher system, you could send your kid to a school that would promote your values. That's just the funky nature of a monopoly. No choice.

study after study has shown that abstinence-only health classes do not work. but leave it to Mississippi to ignore the facts, ignore reality & teach what the churches want them to teach in a public school. Good luck getting out of last place, Mississippi.

What a giant step backwards. I guess the next step is to stop all classes and teach the children to pray for their education and money. Maybe I should stop being offended about society labelling southerners as backward morons.
