We have no clue how many people have had West Nile becasue it is very benign and in most cases, the majority of people will never even know they had anything at all. I wish someone would put this into an honest perspective in these articles. It is amazing how many other things kill people everyday that we don't discuss in such a dramatic manner. Citizens need to be more concerned with the chemicals thier city leaders are buying and spraying. If it kills a bug it will most likely harm a human as history has shown with chemicals of this nature. So as incidences of asthma, MS and other neurological disorders continue to grow in our society, one must wonder when people will become more concerned about those problems that are far more widespread and detrimental than West Nile.
