MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Shelby County Sheriff's deputies were called to a deadly shooting just north of the Raleigh area Thursday night.

The shooting occurred on the 4200-block of Kings Valley Cove around 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. According to Chip Washington with the Sheriff's office, a 49-year-old man, later identified as Anthony Jollif, was found dead in his vehicle from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators say Jollif and his girlfriend had returned from shopping, and she got out of the car to open the carport door as he stayed behind to get the bags from the car. The girlfriend told police as she was unlocking the door she heard a gunshot, and saw 23-year-old Marvin Johnson, known to the neighborhood as "Pig," standing next to Jollif's car. As she ran inside to call 9111 she heard more gunshots, and saw "Pig" running away.

Johnson, who lives nearby, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court March 18.

This case makes the 2nd homicide of the year for Shelby County.
