Deadly Triple Drive-By Shooting at Memphis Nightclub

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are searching for suspects in an early Monday morning nightclub shooting that left two people dead and one person critically injured.

Police were called to the Level II Club at 5020 American Way around 3 a.m. on Monday, October 22. When they arrived, witnessed told officers that several people were leaving the club when an unknown suspect or suspects pulled up and opened fire on their car. The driver and two passengers were shot; a fourth person in the vehicle moved the injured driver to the backseat and drove to a gas station at Park Avenue and Mt. Moriah and called for help.

When paramedics arrived they pronounced the 20-year-old driver dead on the scene. The passengers were transported to The MED where one 20-year-old victim later died and a 19-year-old victim remains in critical condition. The driver was later identified as Derrick Lane; the second deceased victim was identified as Cameron Merritt.

Memphians and visitors to the city are well advised to keep their sidearms close at hand while in the city. Motorists and pedestrians should keep a sharp lookout for recklessly operated police cruisers.

I only new the driver and hewasnt a gang members..u may need to get more information like facts before you assume!..just because they were coming from a club doesn't mean they were up to no good..innocent people get killed everyday..u must don't have a TELEVISION???
