MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Prosecutors announced they'll seek the death penalty against accused cop killer Alexander Haydel.

Haydel is charged with killing Memphis police officer Tim Warren last July.

It happened during a domestic disturbance at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Memphis.

Investigators say Haydel killed his wife's ex-husband during a fight, then shot and killed Officer Warren as he responded to the call.

Haydel was indicted for both murders.

He reports back to court on May 23.

Someone really needs to look at the wife/exwife in this one!!! She collected the insurance money from the murder through her daughters and is already living with another man!!!
