Millions of people handle guns all their lives without shooting themselves. Incidents such as this; it was NOT an accident, are the result of gross carelessness. To imply that it was an accident is stupid. The Tunica Sherrif's Department obviously needs to learn some basic firearm safety.

a shame the gun wasn't accidentally point at the murderer in the back seat when it discharged.

Murder suspect!?!? And such a professional looking, fine, upstanding model-citizen, too. Looks like a Doctor, or a lawyer; maybe a professor. Glad the deputy is on the mend.
