Dog Mauls Cordova Trick-or-Treater

A Cordova girl out trick-or-treating was attacked by a dog on Monday, October 31, 2011, around 7:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Heather Leigh Lane.

wow....I'm wondering why they're not making a big deal out of this? They make it top news when it's a pit bull involved. This just goes to show you...it's the owner, not the dogs!

Sorry to hear that it happened, she looks like sweet girl that would not hurt a fly or antagonize a dog, but things happen and I glad that she will be alrigght. I hope her folks just go after damages not the world.

WELL,lastnight is a known holiday.people know there dogs.it should have been confined.at least until the trick or treaters were done,I own 2 rottweilers and u can bet i was prepared.Iam a dog lover,but hey the kids,or any human life is first.i hope the little one recovers.

I am so glad this law abiding citizen had a gun. The police cannot do it all, maybe we need armed citizen patrols. I suppose some dog lover will complain but I would rather have one little human child safe than 1000 dogs. I hope the baby is okay.

Kudos to the 34 year old,.last night was the 1st time i went armed (I usually just carry a flashlight) while taking the kid trick or treating. Wishing all a speedy recovery(not the dog).
