Domestic Fight Leads to Barricade, Shots Fired in North Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police have a man in custody after he barricaded himself inside an apartment with a child after a domestic altercation Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to the 1000-block of N Watkins near Vollentine Ave just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26 to assist the Memphis Fire Department with a barricade situation.

According to reports at the scene, the man and his girlfriend were fighting when he fired several shots inside the apartment. A TACT unit was called to the scene, and the child was eventually released to police unharmed. The suspect was also taken into custody without incident.

Charges are still pending against the suspect.

Reckless endangerment to however many people were around the area of him shooting, and child endangerment as well....let him serve some good time behind bars!!!!
