MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis Police are searching for suspects in a drive-by shooting on Winchester that injured one victim.
Officers were called to a Mapco station on the 2100-block of Winchester at Airways just after 3:00am on January 27, 2012. When they arrived, a man said he had been shot in the leg while driving near Winchester and Plough by a suspect in the back seat of a silver Ford Taurus. The victim was taken to The MED in non-critical condition. A passenger in the victim's car was not injured.
Investigators stated that the victim was leaving B&N Bar and Grill on Tchulahoma in his Chevy Impala when a man standing next to a Ford Taurus in front of him warned him not to hit his car. The victim drove off headed westbound on Winchester. As he was approaching the tunnel at Winchester and Plough, the Ford Taurus sped around the victim's car and fired 6 to 7 rounds. The victim was shot in his left leg, and the passenger drove him to the Mapco nearby for help.
