MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - East High football player Christian Morris is preparing for the biggest game of his life.

"It's an honor and it's also something that will get you prepared for college because you're up against elite guys from all over the nation," said Morris.

The senior has been selected to compete in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. 90 of the nation's top football players will play at this all star game.

His coach couldn't be any happier. "I am very proud of him. He put in a lot of hard work. It's a tremendous honor," said East High coach Marcus Wimberly.

The 6'7" 285lbs senior has been practicing with other players all week long. His dad said this is just another goal his son has reached.

"Very, very proud of him, he put a lot of hard work in and this is one of the things he wanted accomplished and I'm glad he did it and had an opportunity to do it," said Francois Morris Sr.

"I'm a little nervous about it because you know there are guys I've never seen before of high caliber but I'm ready for it, I'm a very competitive guy," said Christian Morris.
