MEMPHIS, TN -- He made news around the world after surviving 69 days trapped in a Chilean mine.
Edison Pena says he couldn't have done it without singing Elvis songs.
After all he's been through, he's making his way to Memphis this weekend for a tour of a lifetime.
Pena isn't only going to get a tour of Graceland, he’s going to get to record songs in the exact place his idol did in Sun Studio.
John Schorr owns Sun Studio and put together a back band for Pena to sing along with, one member being Jerry Lee's bass guitarist.
Pena’s already picked out his songs.
Schorr says, “He's doing one that he actually sang on David Letterman “Suspicious Minds” a very famous Elvis tune.”
And he's doing a couple of Sun titles "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Good Rockin Tonight" Elvis' second Sun records release.
Schorr says, “It's going to be professionally done. It's going to be all studio music and all studio filming with three different camera men. It will be an orchestrated piece for him to take home as a keep sake of his visit.”
Pena tours Graceland on Friday for the celebration of Elvis' 76 birthday and goes to Sun Studio on Saturday.
