Elderly Man Shot in Home Invasion Robbery

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - An elderly man is fighting for his life after he was shot during a robbery in his Orange Mound home Thursday morning.

Memphis police were called to the 1100-block of Poppen Drive on Thursday, September 20. Officers found the 91-year-old homeowner suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to The MED in critical condition.

Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a home invasion robbery by a black male suspect in his 20's. The suspect ran before police arrived.

Fight crime with education - teach benefits of contraception and distribute free condoms, and in couple of decades, the evolution and demographic constraints will take care of the crime.
