Also, the owner of those dogs should be legally held responsible knowing the fence would not restrain her animals! WHAT IF SOMEONE'S CHILD HAD BEEN BITTEN?

@Iceman...VERY GOOD QUESTIONS! Had the owners done as they were supposed to do none of this would have happened. No tags and a fence incapable of securing your pets equal a negligent pet owner. Those dogs could just as easily been run over by a car. This is why people who own dogs sometime annoy me. I have neighbors who let their dogs run around the neighborhood when it's time for them to do their business, even though all the homes in the neighborhood have private fences. They don't want their own dogs to defacate in THEIR yards, but them seem to thinks everyone else in the neighborhood does! The owners of these 2 dogs brought all of this on herself!! And she no doubt has a guilty conscience which is why she made such a stink of the whole matter.

Well, Well, Well it is about time the scumbag Felon got what she should have gotten long ago...with a record from here to the moon...this low-life should have never been given a 2nd chance...once a THUG! always a Low-Life THUG! as for all of those dogs that have been disappearing for past fews years...I guess we know where they went...straight to Demetria's Pitbull fighter gangster friends and probably sold also to class B dealers..(class B dealers buy animals to use for research and pay good cash for the poor innocent creatures) but Demetria doesn't give a damn about animals...she was there sitting on her fat butt sometimes she would answer a Animal Control call when she felt like, if it would be worth her time(MONEY/MONEY/MONEY) and that's about the way I see it... all along she was never worried about losing her job cause Memphis Shelter and all her felon workers there have a Union! Yes! a Union that protects them no matter WHAT! PATHETIC! they can get away with abusing, tortueing, or just stealing an animal and the Union will always get their job back with PAY!!! AIN'T THAT A CROCK!! BREAK THE LAW, KILL OR STARVE AN ANIMAL and stay on the payroll until they investigate! BS! that could take weeks and the Scum is home doing her thing and getting paid for it! There are lots of wonderful compassion people out there living in Shelby County, DeSoto County that could do a wonderful job working as an Animal Control Officer getting paid $40,000 a yr. and these people love animals so why not hire 1 of them with no RECORD! Get rid of all those FELONS! they all HATE ANIMALS! if the city wants to give them a 2nd chance then give it to them in another capacity not with the poor innocent animals who have no voice!!!!!!!!

@nextinline yes there is proof that she didn't drop the dog off at the shelter. They have it on call that she pick up both dogs but didn't check any into the Shelter the only reason they found the other dog is because they went to her truck and it was still in there but the other one was not. What it looks like Mrs Hogan was selling the dogs and I hope she get jail time and a lot of it. @iceman You are right the owner of the dog should have fix the fence or did something to where the dogs could not get out I understand why she may not have had them with collar on because when you let a dog outside with a collar on and your not home it could get tangled in something and kill the Animal and have seen it done before. I do volunteer work for GAPR and it makes me do what I do because of people like Mrs Hogan so sad

I just have a couple of questions. The first is that since the owner knew the fence was damaged and she regularly let her dogs out in the yard, why didn't she fix or have the fence fixed prior to her dogs escaping? Next, why didn't her dogs have collars and tags or any type of identification? I can personally relate a story where a stray came up into my yard. The dog had a collar and tags, from the tag # I was able to find out who the owner was, owner called, dog returned, happy ending. Because of her negligence, Ms Shoup it appears exascerbatted the situation. Then she stirs the pot by filing a police report and calling the media. Seems to me that Ms Shoup is as much a part of the problem as Ms Hogan is. Just sayin'. Let the flaming begin.

Unless Ms Hogan confesses what she did with the dog, I doubt we will ever see Kapone again. That's very sad. Ms Hogan will probably go free because the Shelter cannot prove that she didn't bring the dog to the Shelter. Had there been cameras rolling at intake, then there would be conclusive evidence. Additionally, if they had intake procedures in place to document each arrival like one would process prisoners, then there would be a record of all animals. However, without proof, it's Ms Hogan's word against her fellow employees.

Apparently the people took to court for animal abuse walked away when the animal control officer failed to show up for court time and again. Can you say holiday with pay. I thought tater head's ex-personal security specialist hide the dope in the attic Mcfagden was still the executive director of hugs for thugs.
