MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The Hardeman County Sheriff's Office has issued a Tennessee Endangered Child Alert for three young girls last seen with their mother leaving their Whiteville home one week ago.
14-year-old Adrienne Bain, 12-year-old Alexandria Bain, and 8-year-old Kyliyah Bain were last seen with their mother, Jo Ann Bain, on April 27. Their SUV was found abandoned on April 29, but at the time authorities did not suspect foul play.
"Foul play, as far as we know there is no sign of foul play, we are not ruling anything out though," said John Doolan, Hardeman County Sheriff, on May 2. "There is nothing saying you can't move to Mexico and change your name. There's nothing."
Doolan says investigators talked with Adam Christopher Mayes, 35, of Guntown, MS, on Sunday. On Tuesday, investigators got a warrant for Mayes, charging him with filing a false report based on statements he gave investigators on Sunday. Investigators say Mayes is now missing too.
On May 4, Hardeman County and the TBI issued the Endangered Child Alert, stating the children could be in the company of their mother and Hayes en route to Arizona or Mississippi. Authorities said there was no vehicle description available.
