MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Memphis family is hoping for a Christmas miracle, as they continue to search for their dad.

"It is just terrible, hoping and praying that he will be alright," said Linda White.

White's father, Albert White, was last seen on Sunday evening. He had a doctor's appointment at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, but never showed up.

"We have practically been looking all day and no body has seen nothing or heard nothing," said White. "My son said he will be back in a little bit, he probably got mixed up a little bit."

When White didn't come home, the family fanned out, tracing his steps from his home to the dialysis center where he was supposed to show up.

White says her 81-year-old dad drives a white Buick Century. The car is not at his house in Southwest Memphis.

"We pray that he will be back safe and sound. Lot of prayers," said White.

According to Memphis Police, White is 5'11', 185lbs, with white hair and brown eyes.

White's car has Tennessee disabled license plate: TN/448DD51.

"I think Lord have mercy, daddy, please come on home," White said.

If you have any information on White's whereabouts, you are asked to call Memphis Police at 901.545.2677.
