MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis fire investigators determined that bad wiring in a bedroom led to a Thursday morning house fire where one man was found dead.

Firefighters were called to the 2200-block of Curry Avenue just before 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 23. It took about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. While searching the home, firefighters found the body of a man in a back bedroom. The victim's identity has not been released, and his cause of death is unknown pending a report from the Medical Examiner's Office.

One firefighter was injured on the scene. He was transported to The MED for 2nd degree burns to his hand and left ear and has since been released.
