RIPLEY, TN (abc24.com) - A former Tipton County Sheriff's deputy was indicted by a grand jury Monday for aggravated statutory rape.

The Tipton Grand Jury returned a two-count indictment against 29-year-old Jason Cochran for reported crimes involving a 17-year-old girl in March of this year.

If convicted, Cochran faces up to eight years in prison.

Sorry but it isn't rape. And to call it "rape" is an insult to people who are actually violently raped. This is some young sl*t who no doubt voluntarily went to bed with this man and then turned him in when she was spurned.
