Four Memphis area shootings on Sunday

Memphis Police Department officers responded to a shooting at 4:48 p.m. in the Hickory Hill area. A male victim between the age of 25 and 30 was found dead on the scene. The suspect was possibly driving a gray or brown GMC or Chevy. No arrest has been made.


At 4:55 p.m. officers found an unidentified male dead on the scene with a gunshot wound in the Whitehaven area near Graceland. At this time, it is unknown if this shooting was self-inflicted. 


Officers responded to another shooting in the Hickory Hill area at 5:15 p.m. A 16 year old male was found with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to The Med in critical condition. The suspect was possibly occupying a white vehicle. No arrest has been made.


Also, MPD is currently on the scene of a shooting at 690 S. Parkway. The victim's condition and age is unknown at this time. MPD has one suspect detained. 


These are all ongoing investigations.

They should just hand out body armor as soon as visitors arrive in memphis. Dead tourists spend no money.

Judging from the locations, these were gang members shooting gang members no doubt. I have no problem with that. The more of them that are exterminated the better off we all are. Hopefully that's what these were and no bystanders were hurt.

Memphians and visitors to the Bluff City are well advised to keep their sidearms close at hand while in the city. Motorists and pedestrians should keep a sharp lookout for recklessly operated police cruisers, whether or not their blue lights and sirens are in operation.

Prayers for the all 4 of the victim's family and friends! What is Memphis coming to?! Where is the value of life?!Continues to get worse and worse....
